What is the potential and protection in consumer unit upgrade?
Potential of consumer unit upgrade :
The Consumer Unit Upgrade is the same with this ceiling; this is potentially Asbestos might not be, but they’re waiting for the results back from the lab. These were the only two areas where they might have trouble; for the rest, there were a few things like floor tiles somewhere that might have Asbestos. But that doesn’t affect us because it’s downstairs; these are solid floors anyway, and they are potentially Asbestos. So they’re just going to avoid those here; they’ve got the laser Up. They will try and reuse that cooker box because it’s just been stuck and glued into the wall.
This is an old external wall here which the room beyond it. In the utility room, there is an extension, so this was a cavity wall, and they’ve taken the old cables up inside the cavity, and that box has no back to it. So they’re going to keep that box and then redo these. If they need to go off the same line and chase horizontally Around, they only have to do one cable drop and then run everything else Horizontally. So that’s the idea there; as you can see, the customer has kindly labeled everything. Where they want everything to go, they’ve got two gang switches to go in again and some recess downlights.
The utility room is here, so there will be a washing machine and tumble dryer. They got to put a double socket up high there for those not sure about putting one low down for here or how he’s going to extend the cables to that; they’ll have to figure out a double socket on this side for a fridge and freezer. That is going to go in here; there’s a downstairs toilet. So they’re just going to redo the lighting in here.
Protection in consumer unit upgrade :
Suppose there are a couple of downlights and the boiler switch. They’ve just got to check that out because that’s an old strange fan isolation. They’ve used no fused connection unit for it, so they might have to redo that a little bit and just put a new switch in. A couple of downlights in the utility room as well Outside. There’s not much going on, so you won’t show that in the hallway. They’re going to put a brand new consumer unit. The consumer unit will be upgraded with a surge protection device and incorporate the solar Board.
The consumer unit upgrades the solar circuit into the new Board, so the existing feed for the solar it’s almost new; it’s only a couple of years Old. So they’ll reuse. That goes into the loft, which looks to have been done reasonably decently with the main bonding to the gas. Just going to chase it in, so this is the hallway with two gang switches to go to the downstairs light and upstairs light. They got another room and were going to put various bits. So as you can start chasing out the walls with this wall chaser.
It’s one that they’ve given us, supposed to have a hilt one. But it didn’t pass the pat test, so the higher company gave us this one. This is one never heard of; it got a making vac which is good but not as good as a hilts Chaser. So they just switched and l three double sockets in here pendant light reasonably straightforward.
